Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated - Epsilon Theta Zeta Chapter proudly celebrated its 55th Annual Debutante-Beautillion Scholarship Presentation on April 17, 2026, at HUB757, continuing a cherished tradition of recognizing academic achievement, leadership, and community service among local high school seniors.

This year's Debutante-Beautillion class included an outstanding group of students representing several area high s chools: Churchland High School, Deep Creek High School, IC Norcom High School, King's Fork High School, Lakeland High School, and Oscar Smith High School.

Over the course of three months, participants engaged in a comprehensive program designed to prepare them for success in college and beyond. Students attended workshops focused on building and maintaining credit, effective money management, and social etiquette, equipping them with valuable life skills to support their future endeavors.

In addition to their educational experiences, participants demonstrated their commitment to service by volunteering alongside chapter members during the sorority's cancer treatment facility collection project. The students assisted with organizing donated items that were later provided to individuals receiving cancer treatment.

Working closely with their parents, mentors, and chapter members, the students also participated in fundraising efforts to support scholarship awards. Through their dedication and hard work, the class collectively raised more than $22,000 toward scholarships to help advance their higher education goals.

For more than five decades, the Suffolk Zeta Chapter has remained steadfast in its commitment to supporting graduating seniors through mentorship, scholarship opportunities, and leadership development. The Debutante-Beautillion Scholarship Program remains one of the chapter's signature initiatives, promoting academic excellence, positive character, civic engagement, and career readiness while helping alleviate the financial burden of pursuing higher education.

The evening's culminating ceremony highlighted the achievements of all participants and celebrated their growth throughout the program. During the presentation, Debutante Makayla Hayden of King's Fork High School was crowned Debutante Queen, while Beau Troyvell Philpot of Deep Creek High School was crowned Beautillion King.

The Suffolk Zeta Chapter extends heartfelt appreciation to the participants, parents, mentors, sponsors, and supporters whose contributions made the 55th Annual Debutante-Beautillion Scholarship Presentation a tremendous success.
